I visited a class blog named @KM @ Leopold Primary School. The class was taught by Kathleen McGeady. You can tell that a lot of time has been spent on this blog and there were many interesting posts to read. I read a post that was called Melbourne Cup Day. This post was created on the actual Melbourne Cup Day. The Melbourne cup is a famous horse race. There were several facts listed about the horse race and how it came to be. This was something I had never heard of so I was quite intrigued. It goes on to explain some activities that the kids participated in such as designing fun outfits for the race and having a "sweep" of their own for first, second, and third place prizes. There was also a video of the class in Melbourne Cup action.

I visited a class blog from Melville Intermediate School called Room 8 @ Melville Intermediate School. This class seemed to really appreciate blogging and all that you can do with it because there were many posts, almost two or three a week. I commented on a post by a child named Henry who explained what he was doing in Art technology the previous week. Henry made an art project and made a video of it. Along with making art projects he also incorporated some sound and effects in his video to show his knowledge of art technology. I enjoyed viewing this post.

I visited Ms. Melito's class blog and then viewed Micaela H.'s blog. His blog post #6 taught his readers about polynomials. As for me, it has been a while since I have had to review polynomials, but he definately refreshed my memory. His assignment for the blog was to describe how to find the degree of a polynomial and what a leading coefficient is using 3-5 sentences. You could tell that he knew what he was talking about. His sentences were very thorough. I am sure that Miceala is a great math student.

For my final C4K I went to Mr. St. Pierre's class blog and then visited a student named Yasmine's blog. I read a post of hers that I found so cute and it inspired me to want to acknowledge student's work a little more than I do. Yasmine very nicely suggested for others to start commenting on her blog posts because nobody ever did. She told us that she uses cool pictures and other things to try to attract people to her posts, but she wasn't very successful. As a class, Dr. Strange's EDM310 class at the University of South Alabama all decided to comment on her posts for our final C4K and I am so glad that we did. I know she really wanted us to.

Symbaloo

I used Symbaloo for my PLN because I found that it was a GREAT way to stay organized! It's simple and everything is right in front of you! I put all of my favorite websites onto my symbaloo tiles and it creates a way to have easy access to all my favorite sites whether it be my online banking account or my facebook account or my twitter account! It is convenient and I would suggest it for anyone who uses the internet a lot and wants to stay organized! I know I will continue to use symbaloo as long as it is around!:)

Summary Post C4T Teacher #4

C4T Summary Post for John T. Spencer-

My teacher #4 was Mr. Spencer and I thoroughly found his blog to be intriguing. He has a different, yet interesting way of looking at technology and how we, as humans, are accepting it. He suggests different points on view towards technology as if to give his readers the opportunity to see the given issue from both sides of an argument. Although, I think he is for technology and appreciative of technology I also think that he values the opinions of those who do not agree with him. It is obvious that Mr. Spencer is an intelligent man and has put a lot of thought into his individual posts. Each one has left me in a state of deep thinking that I appreciate. He values his job as a teacher and understands its importance. He also looks for ways around the normal standards of curriculum to help students who have personal problems or adjustments to make and haven't been able to find anything that works. He is a model teacher. I enjoyed reading Mr. Spencer's blog posts and I value his opinion.
